UConn Eyes Back-to-Back Championships, Purdue Aims for First Title Since 1999
The 2024 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament will culminate Monday night in Glendale, Arizona, as top-seeded Purdue faces defending champions UConn for the championship title. For both teams, history beckons.
UConn, seeking to become the first back-to-back champion since Florida in 2006 and 2007, is one victory away from that feat. The Huskies defeated Final Four debutants Alabama 86-72 on Saturday.
Purdue, on the other hand, is aiming for its first national championship since 1999. The Boilermakers emerged with a 63-50 win over NC State in their Final Four matchup, led by Zach Edey's 20 points and 12 rebounds.
The game is set for a 9:20 p.m. ET start on Monday, April 8, and will be broadcast on CBS. The winner will be crowned the NCAA Men's Basketball National Champion.
