Max Verstappen cruised to victory in the British Grand Prix for his sixth win in a row and a record-equalling 11th consecutive triumph for Red Bull. The Dutchman led every lap of the race from pole position and was never seriously challenged, despite a safety car period late on. Lewis Hamilton finished second for Mercedes, with Ferrari's Carlos Sainz completing the podium.
The victory was Verstappen's third at Silverstone and sees him extend his lead in the drivers' championship to 49 points. Hamilton is now second in the standings, with Sainz third.
The race was also notable for the retirement of George Russell's Mercedes on the opening lap. The Briton was hit by Zhou Guanyu's Alfa Romeo at the start and was forced to retire with damage.
