Champagne and smoke from under the wheels: in Kaliningrad, the drift competition season ended with a big race

Drift is a motorsport discipline in which a driver slides a car through corners at high speeds while maintaining control.

The season of drift competitions in Kaliningrad ended with a large-scale race. The event was held on the territory of the airfield DOSAAF.

About 30 pilots from Kaliningrad, the Moscow region, St. Petersburg, and Belarus took part in the competition.

The participants performed on rear-wheel drive cars with a capacity of up to 500 horsepower. In the professional league, the victory was won by the pilot Artem Romanovich из Калининграда.

In the semi-professional league, the first place was taken by Andrey Sharapov from Moscow, in the amateur league - Ivan Ivanov, also from Moscow. The most spectacular drift was demonstrated by Nikita Shikov from Belarus.

The culmination of the season was a mass drift race, in which novice pilots, as well as more experienced riders, could demonstrate their skills.

The judges evaluated the participants for the correctness of the trajectory, the angle of the drift, the smoke from under the wheels and the overall impression of the performance.
