Miles McBride Finishes with 22

West Virginia Holds Off Oklahoma State 74-68

McBride led the Mountaineers with 22 points, while Taz Sherman added 18

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Miles McBride scored 22 points to lead West Virginia to a 74-68 victory over Oklahoma State on Saturday night.

The Mountaineers (12-4, 2-2 Big 12) led by just four points with less than five minutes remaining, but McBride hit a jumper and Sherman made a layup to extend the lead to eight. Oklahoma State (9-6, 2-2) cut the lead to four with 1:02 remaining, but McBride made two free throws to seal the win.

Sherman added 18 points for West Virginia, while Isaiah Cottrell scored 13 and Gabe Osabuohien had 10. Bryce Williams led Oklahoma State with 19 points, while Avery Anderson III added 16 and Moussa Cisse had 10.

The Mountaineers shot 46.3% from the field, while Oklahoma State shot 39.6%. West Virginia also made 10 of 24 three-pointers, while Oklahoma State made just 5 of 19.

The Mountaineers outrebounded the Cowboys 37-30 and had 13 assists to Oklahoma State's 10.

West Virginia will next play at Texas on Tuesday, while Oklahoma State will host Kansas on Wednesday.
