17 Years Since Her Disappearance People Refuse To Give Up Hope

Madeleine McCann: The search that refuses to end

17 years since her disappearance, people refuse to give up hope

The investigation into the disappearance of Madeleine McCann is one of the most high-profile missing person cases in history, and it continues to haunt her family and the public despite the fact that she has been missing for more than ten years.

Madeleine was just three years old when she disappeared from a holiday apartment in Praia da Luz, Portugal in 2007. Her parents, Kate and Gerry McCann, have never given up hope that she is still alive and have spent the years since her disappearance campaigning for her safe return.

In 2020, German authorities announced that they were investigating a new suspect in the case, a German sex offender named Christian Brückner. Brückner was already serving a prison sentence for the rape of a 72-year-old woman in Portugal in 2005, and investigators believe that he may have been involved in Madeleine's disappearance as well.

The investigation into Brückner is ongoing, and no charges have yet been filed. However, the new lead has given Madeleine's family fresh hope that they may finally get some answers about what happened to their daughter.

The search for Madeleine has been a long and difficult one, but her family and friends refuse to give up hope. They believe that she is still alive and that one day she will be found.

The 17th anniversary of Madeleine's disappearance will be marked on May 3, 2023. On that day, her parents will once again appeal to the public for help in finding her.
