India Defeats Bangladesh Enters Icc World Test Championship Final

India defeats Bangladesh, enters ICC World Test Championship final

India beat Bangladesh by an innings and 130 runs inside three days to book their place in the final of the ICC World Test Championship.

India dominated the match at every stage in their 409-run chase in Chattogram.

After putting up a sizeable total of 404 in the first innings, India's bowlers made short work of Bangladesh’s batting line-up, dismissing them for just 150 in their first essay and then enforcing follow-on.

India enforced the follow-on for the second time in the current cycle of the World Test Championship to boost their chances of reaching the final.

India spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel were once again the heroes for the side, with both bowlers taking a combined 15 wickets in the match

With the series win, India’s place in the World Test Championship final is confirmed. They will face the winner of the ongoing Australia vs South Africa series in the summit clash at The Oval in London from June 7 to 11.

India's victory is a testament to their dominance in Test cricket in recent years. They have now won their last 15 Test matches, a streak that stretches back to their loss to New Zealand in the inaugural World Test Championship final in June 2021.
